Colourpop Haul | Liquid Lipstick Heaven!

I finally bit the bullet and did a Colourpop order, trying to put the customs cost and shipping out of my mind. Ignorance is bliss!

Because of shipping I thought i may as well get all of the colours i want, rather than being stingy and wanting to buy more later on. So i ended up with 8 liquid lipsticks, a highlighter and an eyebrow pencil which i think is a really good introduction to Colourpop for me. I always knew i would love the liquid lippies, so just thought i'd throw in a couple of other products to give them a test too.

When i initially opened up the parcel, i did look at the lipsticks and think have i just bought the same shade 8 times?! They look so similar in the tube, but actually were surprisingly very different on the lips!

Left to right: Times Square, Littlestitious, Viper, Beeper, Trap, Midi, Lumiere 2, Solow, Smokin' Whistles Highlighter, Dope Taupe Brow pencil.

The lipsticks are dreamy. They stay all day, they are beautiful shades and so pigmented! Obviously they can be a bit drying, but a good lip balm underneath really helps to prime the lips. My favourite shades are Times Square and Midi as they are just the most beautiful nude shades. Viper and Lumiere 2 were not the colours i expected, however maybe it will take me out of my comfort zone for once!

As for the highlighter, i feel i didn't choose the right shade for my skin tone as it was quite difficult to choose online. As i'm very pale, this was a little too golden and orangey for me, however maybe it will work with a tan. It also has an odd consistency, it's hard to pick up on a makeup brush as it's almost a wet, creamy texture. It's best applied with the finger in my opinion.

The eyebrow pencil is again too warm toned for me, which i didn't expect as it's called Dope Taupe, i figured it would be quite taupey and cool. But it does fill in sparse areas really well and is so affordable.

What do you think of my choices? Have you bought anything from Colourpop?

MAC Lipstick Collection!

It's time to share one of my little addictions. Lipsticks. I cannot stop buying them, and as soon as i see a really nice colour on someone, i mentally take a note of the brand and shade ready to purchase it. Unfortunately one of my favourite brands at the moment is MAC, which are £15 each :( So far i have 6, which isn't too extreme, but it is continually growing. So here they are:

From left to right:
Lovelorn (Lustre) - This is such a beautiful neutral pink. It's very moisturising and glossy, but that does mean you have to re-apply it often.

Creme Cup (Cremesheen) - For me, this is the perfect pink nude. You could wear this for any occasion and it looks beautiful. It's very moisturising and has a lovely shiny finish.

Brave (Satin) - I love this as it's a my-lips-but-better colour, and is the perfect lipstick for any makeup look!

Rebel (Satin) - This is the most beautiful Autumn/Winter shade and would look amazing on all skin tones.

Pink Nouveau (Satin) - I love this bubblegum shade, it's such a barbie pink and lasts on your lips so well!

Velvet Teddy (Matte) - This is such a talked about lipstick. Practically every youtuber/blogger owns this, and i couldn't miss out on this bandwagon. I didn't actually expect to love it as much as i do, but it is actually my favourite lipstick that i own! It is the most stunning nude, and makes your lips look so full and works with any makeup look.

What do you think of my shades? Also let me know your favourite MAC lipstick because I love finding new ones!

What's in my Graze box?!

I've just jumped on the bandwagon that is Graze and i was beyond excited when my first box slipped through the door the other day! Food and surprises are just two of the greatest things, so combine them together and it's a pretty great day when a box arrives through the post.

I feel like I haven't posted in forever... and honestly, it has been too long. Since finishing college and getting a job, it has been a challenge to upload regularly and i seriously applaud anyone who is able to post more than once a week while working 9 to 5. So i figured it needed to be a yummy post to apologise for the lack of posts, and yummy it is.

Here's what i received:

Honeycomb Flapjack
This was amazing, it tasted better than any flapjack i've ever tried. It was so sweet and such a perfect snack size. I felt like i was really treating myself with this snack, and the portion size wasn't too small or too big.

The Graze Brownie
Surprisingly i enjoyed this, i wasn't sure if i would as it did look quite dark chocolate. However the flavour wasn't too rich and was perfect with a cup of tea.

My Thai
I loved the chilli dip as i'm a big fan of sweet and spicy chilli, but there was something about the flavour of the crackers that really didn't float my boat. They had an unusual taste that i wasn't a fan of, so i did throw this in my Graze bin on the website (which is the best thing about Graze, you're never going to get a snack you disliked again).

Original Fruity Flapjack
Not quite as amazing as the honeycomb, but still very good. I think it was because it was healthly haha! I really enjoyed this though, and the seeds and fruit were a nice addition to a plain flapjack!

Overall i loved this box, and will 100% be getting another!

Have you tried Graze? And would you like to see what's inside my next box?

Naughty Chocolate treats!

S'mores!
Take one digestive biscuit and add two marshmallows on top. Pop it under the grill until they're nice and toasted, then add a couple of squares of chocolate and another digestive. Then squish them together to make an amazing melted marshmallow sandwich!

Nutella Hot Chocolate!
Sad when you finish your jar of chocolate spread? Well here's an easy idea to actually make you excited to reach the bottom of the jar. Heat up some milk and then add it to the jar. Give it a good stir around, and it produces an amazing hot chocolate!

These two treats are so effortless to make, but are the perfect naughty food for a night in! What do you think?

Have you got any recipes of your own you can share with me? Let me know in the comments below!

What am I Watching on Netflix?!

I love finding out new recommendations for Netflix. So i thought i'd let you know my current faves in case you want some Netflix inspo!

90210
"When the Mills family relocates to Beverly Hills from Kansas, Annie Mills and her brother, Dixon, start school at West Beverly Hills High".
I did think during the first few episodes that it was going to be a cheesy high school drama, but it turned out to be one of my favourite series ever! I love the characters, the storylines and the series ending was just...aaahhh. Amazing.

Orange is the New Black
Sentenced to fifteen months for a crime committed in her youth, Piper Chapman leaves her supportive fiance Larry for her new home: a women's prison.
Love this! It's such a funny and addictive series. There are so many amazing characters, and i just love the prison storyline. It reminds me a LOT of a comedy version of Wentworth prison if you watch that. There's a lot of laughs, but some really great storylines too.

Gossip Girl
When once-close friends Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf become bitter rivals, their battles for power are publicized to their entire tony prep school thanks to Gossip Girl's dirt-dishing blog -- which always has sensational scoops.
That's a description of season one, which i've just finished. I'm enjoying it so far, it's an easy watch. If you're into girly dramas then this is the one for you!

Please let me know your Netflix recommendations down below because i am always on the hunt for a new series to get stuck in to!

Healthy Breakfast Ideas!

I find it really difficult to eat healthily when a bowl of frosties is so much quicker and convenient to make. However i have come up with a few recipes that will make your breakfast so much healthier and easier.

Overnight Oats

I've started making overnight oats as they are so easy and are really convenient for a morning when you may have less time. Just add a normal amount of oats to your bowl (the same amount as porridge) and add some milk to it. Then add your fillings, i like fruit and honey as it gives it a really sweet flavour. Then leave it overnight in the fridge, and the oats will absorb the milk.

Avocado on Toast

It looks so gross on this photo, but actually tastes really good and is nice and filling! Add half an avocado to a piece of wholemeal toast and spread it evenly. Then i like to add some chia seeds and black pepper on top. The seeds help to keep you full, and the black pepper adds a nice kick of flavour.

Smoothies

The perfect way to use up any fruit you have, plus i love to add spinach as it is so good for you but cannot be tasted at all. Some other great ingredients are natural yoghurt, avocado, kale and chia seeds as they really fill you up and have a lot of protein!

What do you think of my ideas? And what is your go-to healthy breakfast?

2015 Favourites!

This year has gone insanely fast. I know people say that every year - but this one seems to have gone especially quick. So here are my absolute favourite beauty things from the year.

Soap and Glory Clean on Me - This is such a good shower gel and has been my favourite to use all year. It smells good and works well - what more could you want!

Garnier Micellar Water - I love this stuff for removing my makeup, it works so well!

Batiste Oriental Dry Shampoo - Their dry shampoo is always my go-to but this scent has been my favourite of the year. It has a really unique scent.

Maple Holistics Ancient Clay Mask - I was sent this a while back to review, and i have been loving using it ever since. It works amazingly well when i am going through a breakout and i swear it makes your pores less visible.

Sugar Crush Body Butter - Really moisturising and the scent is by far my favourite Soap and Glory one.

No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation - This has amazing coverage but is slightly too dark for me (even though it's the lightest shade!!) so i mix it with Body Shop's Shade Adjusting Drops. I apply it with my Real Technique's Expert Face Brush which will be my favourite brush forever!

Soap and Glory Thick & Fast - it gives me the most length out of any mascara i have tried.

LUSH's The Comforter - and any other lush bath product. I love them all! But this one has been a popular one.

Vampire Diaries Unmasked - I threw in this book as i adored it. It's the final TVD book and i loved the storyline.

Jessica Bedazzler Nail Polish - This was used a lot in December!!

Cerruti 1881 perfume - I love this scent, it's very distinctive and easy to wear.

MAC's Brave - The perfect nude lip. I could wear it all day every day.

So what do you think of my favourites? Why don't you leave me the link to your favourites in the comments!

Thanks for reading, and for sticking with my blog throughout 2015 ♥
